DIY Wedding Trends are currently giving couples ‘something to do‘ as they plan their wedding through lockdown.
But not all couples are handy with paper and scissors so is this something you could add to your services as Wedding Stylist.
Paper has always been an important part of any wedding – often in the form of invitations and menus. However it’s only been over the last few years that couples have been introducing this particular textile into other areas of their wedding design – namely with the introduction of paper lanterns and paper cranes adorning their ceremony.
Today, we’re taking a look at a few of the recent paper trends that have come back into fashion as we all look for ways to stay occupied. Especially if we’ve binge watched everything available on Netflix.
DIY Wedding Trend No 1 – Paper Flowers
Gorgeous paper flower bouquets have had a major come back recently. They’re inexpensive, eco-friendly and sometimes hard to distinguish from the real thing. Most of all, they’re unique and couples don’t need to worry about whether their chosen flower is in season or not.
DIY Wedding Trend No 2 – Paper Boutonnieres
Paper Boutonnieres go hand in hand with paper flower bouquets. But can of course be used separately.
Quirky boutonnieres are a welcome change to the token rose. And of course, have a better chance of staying in place all evening, and not wilting.
DIY Wedding Trend No 3 – Paper Garlands
Paper Garlands are THE accessory to decorate a whimsical, quirky, vintage bash. And the best thing is – these ARE easy to make yourself. They’re funky, original and downright customisable. A great addition to your stylist toolbox.
